General Information – Teggs Nose Reservoir is Waltonians largest water at 7 arces, a deep reservoir providing great all round fishing throughout the year in an idyllic setting. Steep banking sides give Teggs Nose deep margins with few snags. Clear banks and marked pegs all round the water give the angler access to the whole water. Parking is available in the adjacent car park only and NOT on the road or overflow.
Known Species – Teggs Nose holds a large stock of fish from most common species in particular a large head of Mirror and Common carp (between 5lb – 25lb) and a large number of mature bream (3lb – 6lb) and smaller silver fish.
Special Conditions – See Club Rules for specific fishing times – The water is open to members and Day ticket holders only. Day tickets are available from Barlows Tackle, Bond Street, Macclesfield and Tacklesaver, Handforth. (£6.00 for 2 rods and £9.00 for 3 rods)
Directions – Follow the (A536) through Macclesfield towards Congleton. Turn left over the railway bridge and follow Byrons Lane up the hill. Take the left hand fork up Jarman continue round onto Langley Road and follow it up into the village. Take the left hand turn at the church onto Langley Main Road and next left onto Coalpit Lane up to the reservoir. Plenty of parking is available at the far end of the dam head.
